What a great place and great
food. Mark, you run a first class resturant. We can not begin to express
how welcome you made us feel and it was great to have met you. The catfish
and onion rings were the best I have ever had and believe me, that covers
quite a few catfish! The next time we are in San Antonio we will stop
again! Take care and God Bless! I just wanted to say how much we enjoy eating at the Lakehouse. We were there last Friday (01/18/02) and EVERYTHING we had was delicious. My husband loves the battered catfish, and I enjoy the chicken fried steak. The chicken fried steak tastes just like the steak my grandma used to make. We live outside of Pflugerville, which is about 20 miles northeast of Austin, so we're not able to come as often as we'd like so we treasure every moment that we're there. I know there was one Sunday to where we drove to Kerrville just so we could eat at the Lakehouse! I don't know if you would part with any recipes, but we really go crazy over the rice and pinto beans. Mind sharing any secrets? The food served at the
Lakehouse is the best! A lot of times when you go to a restaurant there
may be one or two things that you really don't like, but here at the
Lakehouse we can't find one thing to complain about. And the waitstaff are
all so friendly. Keep up the GREAT work and we will be back as soon as we
can. Your site looks great.
Thought I would drop a line here and see what bites LOL...Will have to get
down that way one of these days.Would like to shake hands and check the
place out...Would like to check out the Bullet as well of coarse. Stay
cool. Great site!!! Makes me hungry
just lookin'. Chicken' Fried Steak is my favorite, everything else a close
second! We will visit on our next trip west! Hello good Buddy...Me
and my brother are the Georgia State catfish eating champs. We are going
to check you guys out July 12, 2001. Hope you have plenty of good catfish.
We'll probalby bring a bunch of folks with us...so get ready. Alabama Jack
will most likely be there too. Good old boys from Georgia. Thank you so much for
helping me obtain gift certificates for my parents, Ken and Julie Harris.
What a nice way to celebrate Mother's Day. Mark, great looking
site...beautiful setting for your business! Hope to make it in someday!
I "grew up" in Kerrville
and unfortunately get back to visit only every year or two. You were
gracious enough to allow us to present my mother with a gift certificate
via telephoned VISA card recently. She loves your place, and so do
we......we ate there on our last visit. In fact, I swear that the second
picture on your website, the silhouette shot, is my mother and her
husband!! We plan to get them additional gift certificates for Christmas.
Thanks for your help, and Merry Christmas!! On Saturday 07/08/00 my
husband (Skip) and I drove from Temple to Kerrville to eat at the
LakeHouse. We ordered the Combo plate so we could sample the food. I'm
here to tell you it was absolutely delicious. The service was the best and
we met Mark and he is a great person. We will make the trip again. It is
worth the trip for those who have been thinking about making it and for
those who haven't, you should. This past Saturday, we
came to Kerrvile for our annual trip to the Texas State Arts and Crafts
Fair. During an Internet search prior to this visit, we found the
Lakehouse restuarant web page and decided to eat there while in town. We
did and it was great. The food was good and the service was fantastic. Our
waitress was Carol and she is really nice. Great site! Thanks for
joining in on BFHP conversations and others. Like your site &
next time I come through Kerrville I will stop & eat. This is a great looking
site and some beautiful scenery. I can't wait to get down there and try
some of that great cookin'. The wife and I will do our best to make it by
there when we go to San Antonio this summer, but if we don't I will make
it by the next time I am headed to Carta Valley. Hope all is
well. Our sincerest thanks to
Mark, Sallie, and the gracious staff of The Lakehouse. We had a wonderful
time in a very relaxing atmosphere. The catfish and shrimp were great! (I
got my eye on the chicken-fried steak for the next time!). Your place looks
beautiful. I'll be in Texas within the next 12 months, and will be sure to
stop by. Wonderful site Mark. The
photographs present a very soothing image, which compliments the true
ambiance and exquisite cuisine one experiences while dining at the
Lakehouse. Delectable entrées highlight an evening of relaxing dining
pleasure with a breathtaking view that is sure to be a memorable
experience for all. Whether one dines out in the open on the luxurious
veranda with the soothing lake breeze, or indoors with the ravishingly
royal décor and stunning chandeliers, one will be constantly pampered by
bikini clad models (who graciously perform Shakespearean acts for tips).
Dine to the music of Stan ‘The man with the golden thumb’ Kowalski on the
accordion, and feel free to sing along with some of your favorite Led
Zeppelin tunes. Me and Big Old Mean
Momma BOG plan on coming your way this summer and sampling some of that
great catfish that Woody (and other BFHP NF denizens) rave about. Looking
forward to meeting you and seeing your place. Great looking place.
Tell me, do you serve pinto beans and cornbread? How 'bout collard
greens?...Good stuff! I hope I'll get the chance to drop in and visit some
time. Hey, did you mount that ferocious monster you caught for the N vs S
thing? It's probably mounted in the doorway! LOL. Take care and God
bless. Let me finish my orignal
post (see the first one with no name). I was saying I couldn't wait to get
down in that area to be able to partake your excellent cuisine. Take care
Mark and Sallie. Your Friend, Nice site Mark and hope
the best for you and Sallie in your venture. Take care. Great looking site,
Mark. I can tell that you are a true Texan by the bowl of beans in the
pictures. Sure wish I could get out there and eat some of that catfish
with you. I bet my doctors and rehab nurses would really like that.
Seriously, you have a well done site. Continued good luck with the
resturant and web site. Hi Mark....I just
returned from a week of fishing and eating in Alabama with A.W. and he
told me to check out the site when I returned and it really looks good.
You never know when a "Yankee" may come knocking on your door looking for
a good meal. Enjoy the web page and
all the familiar sights that we see at least once or twice a week. We are
glad to be right here in Kerrville to take advantage of this good "hill
country cookin" real often. All of our guests and family are also grateful
that we live close. Thanks, Mark and Sallie, for being such great hosts
and folks, and for the great folks that you have on staff. EVERYONE should
have the pleasure of eating here. Mark, That is absolutely
a great site. I enjoyed the visit. My wife and I will visit your Lakehouse
this summer. Nice site Mark! Sure do
hate the Lakehouse isn't in
my back yard. I can only imagine the food must be as good as the company
over there. Just let me know when you want to catch some fish over on the
Rez. I can guarantee you'll at least double your weight....almost. Let me
know when you get the 127 SS Ranger pics posted. I know they're coming.
Hehehe. Hay Mark, Grate luukin'
sight ya' got hair. Now wid that said... Brang summ'a yur fuud wid ya'
whain ya' kum ta' Santee! Mark, great looking
website! Thanks for those GPS coordinates. Can I get there by water from
Virginia? Hope to see you at Santee-Cooper. Gorgeous site Mark!!
Man, I'm jealous; this is one of the best I've seen! Well done. Will
definitely stop by and check out your restaurant if we're in your area.
Take care. I've been to the Hill
Country a lot. I'm sure I'll be back though and stop in for some good
Texas cookin. Good looking site MHA. Keep the food warm. Excellent site and menu
layout. How long would it take us by boat to get there ;) I wouldn't
have expected any less from a World-renowned professional tournament bass
angler. Har har har. It really looks good and like the other guys, it made
me hungry. Great place my friend!
Good luck and have a great day! mmmmmmmmmmmm mmmmmmmmmm
gooooood! Great site mha! Will
surely (as sure as you are a great fisherman) stop by when in the
neighborhood! Make sure you have plenty of Gumbo and filets on
hand! Mark, You have a good
looking site. Hope to see you at Cooper in May. For fine down home food
at a reasonable price, The Lakehouse is the place eat. Typical Texas
hospitality adorns the Lakehouse which leads to many return customers.
Mark, keep up the good work and I'll see you at the next Central Texas
Mini-Rally. Great Website! Very well done site, I
would love to visit yout resturant the next time I am in Texas. The menu
and view look great. So if you come east for
the really big bass next winter, are we going to have to listen to a food
critic all week???? Nice site, Mark. Mark, great site! Sure
hope I get to Texas someday for the folks, the fishing, AND the food!
What's a chicken fried steak? Seriously, your place looks like a wonderful
spot, best of luck to you and your family. Enjoyed the site &
if I get down that way I'll be sure to stop by. See you over yonder
mha.... Great site. We'll look
you up the next time we camp in Kerrville or Lost Maples. Great looking site. Next
time I'm down your way I'm definitely going to drop by for a good
meal. Well I'll be - they let
anyone have a web site won't they. Just kidding....Mark you site looks
great! Good luck with it and I hope we can meet up again soon for some
fishing, Take Care. Mark, I just found the
link to your website and it looks great! I especially like the trick
photography on those LMB! Now that you're on the web folks will be
standing in line to eat and get advice from an internationally known bass
pro! Great looking site, and
a place I will certainly stop and visit when I'm in your part of the
country. Mark, what a great
website! I can't wait to get to "THE LAKEHOUSE" for some great food and
good times! If I have you pegged like I think I do, the restaurant is
first class with first class service! My best to you and your
family! Great web site, Mark. Do
you have home delivery? <grin> We met at the first Central Texas
Mini Rally but didn't get to talk much at the Chair & Velvet session
because I was laughing too hard all night. Hope to visit your place on the
river soon and sample one of those "real thing" chicken fried steaks. It's
3 A.M. as I type and readin' the menu made me hungry! Best
regards...... Looks like a very nice
place, Mark. Mark, your fishing
prowess and the SS Ranger are widely known across North Texas. But not as
much as your cooking. I can't wait to get back down in that area so I can
sample some of your renowned hospitality and great eats. Your rally
friend, Nice site,
mha. Hey Mark, Great looking
site. Wish I could get down there and get some of that chicken fried
steak. I haven't had it since I left Dallas in 1970. My wife doesn't know
how to make it. Us Yankees don't get much call for it. Maybe ya could send
me a general recipe (I don't want any of yer secrets). Mark, great site, and
loved the fishing page!!! If you don't do delivery, could I at least talk
you into FedExing me some of that catfish gumbo? Mark & Sallie, Great
site. It really brings back the memories of my visit to the Hill Country
and dinner at the Lakehouse last March. I'm still trying to lose the
weight I gained eating catfish with Tin man. Great site,
MHA! Hope to come down from
Austin to try your food. Your website looks great. Great looking place. If
I'm ever over that way I'll be sure to >stop in and do a few fork reps.
Take Care. Great site,
MHA! Hey.. am I the first
one??? The place looks great and the website is very tasty... I mean
tasteful.... We look forward to a pleasurable dining experience at the
Lakehouse on Saturday. | ||
